Thanks for the sympathy, y'all, and the search for the silver lining. I'll be in Salamanca, with the start and end in Madrid, so I DO plan to hit Maona Loa in Madrid again...with whom is the problem this time (all my Spain buddies will be there for the month of July, not June). There is also one middle weekend in which one of us two chaperones will go to Segovia (been there done that) and the other to Barcelona (haven't been there yet). I thinks it's now time to be a demanding *itch; I am going to Barcelona, ***dammit!! I'm a Gaudi nut, and I gotta see the place. Hoping all those cool tiki bars there will still be open.

And Suburban Hipster, I think I just may have to give myself a no-Hukilau Consolation Prize of going to Chicago after all!! Here's to International Tiki Day in the Windy City - see you and Mrs. Hipster there!!
