Nothing like last year has happened since 1886. That's a fact. Whenever you live on the coast it's just a fact of life. The likelihood of that happening again - as far as 4 in a row - is 0. I've been doing plenty of homework on the subject. Honestly, we can live under a blanket and choose not to celebrate or plan events and such during this time or we can focus on being at Hukilau and sharing a wonderful time with everyone.
