I was in San Diego this weekend and made one of my standard visits to the Bali Hai. And I must say, their mai tai is tied for #1 (at least with me). I talked the bartender into letting me take home a copy of their drink menu. Their mai tais are strong to the Nth degree. Here is what their drink menu says:

dark rum
light rum
orange liquour
orgeat
sweet & sour
(that's it)
I watched the bartender mix up several of these and only saw him put in the 2 rums and, what I assume, was organge curacao. I didn't see any orgeat or sweet N sour unless they had the non-rum ingredients premixed, but didn't look like it.
Anyway, they are great tasting and strong. The last time I was there I had 4 and don't remember ANYTHING after that!
