(Technically I don't think the singing frogs we get here in Maryland are actual "Spring Peepers" but they make the same welcome noise.) When you get to hear them singing their first notes of the season it's like a breath of fresh air...you want to open your bedroom windows and listen to them all night. It's a sign reminding you the world is coming to life again after 6 months of silence outdoors. It almost matches the euphoria I feel when I see the first lightning bug! :)
