Description:
One of my favorite SE. Mass. Chinese restaurants growing up, the Royal Garden serves a great Pu Pu platter, Lo Mein, and many other Hunan and Cantonese specialties. The bar has a great bamboo and chinese lantern decor, although I couldn't find any Tiki on my recent visit (11/18). Unfortunately, like many of the chinese/polynesian lounges in MA, it's succumbed to the "KENO"/sports theme. However, as in my comments regarding the Kowloon, I noticed more than one "regular joe" enjoying a polynesian cocktail. This can only be good.
I had a Mai Tai that was rather poor. It tasted of VERY strong, cheap rum, and not much else. Maybe a bit of lime flavor. Not any almond taste to speak of.
If you're in the vicinity of Plymouth, MA, stop by.
