OK, tiki types: The always fantastic Project Pimento is live in Fairfax, CA at the venerable 19 Broadway Bar & Niteclub. Only $5!! Come one, come all. We will be sitting in the fab new Bamboo Bar to enjoy many tropical drinks. It's right next door to the stage, so we may be able to hear the band without the cover charge, but if not, it's only $5!! Well, it's a bit late, but it was a great nite at the Bamboo Bar with Pimento. We had TikiVixen, Mr. Smiley, Enid, TikiMama, Melintur, freshly bald TikiMonkey, cynfulcynner, BooLoo (Rebecca), and your humble narrator. We even had a celebrity guest! Project Pimento gets better and better as the years go on. The drinks were better then the first time, but after a few, it's hard to really know. I have some lengthy black spots in my memory, but somehow I bought one of their CDs, played a little of the theremin onstage after the show, and several of us made it to my parents house afterwards to crash. Not sure how. We even had a recreation of the Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson. A funny thing about the bar there is that it's on wheels because in order to share the liquor license with 19 Broadway, it has to be a mobile bar. Silly damn laws. The place is only going to get better with time, and frequent visits on our parts. If anyone else remembers any more details, post them. Back to work.... |

I want to thank you for supporting the opening of the Bamboo Bar at 19 Broadway in Fairfax. Sorry I was not there but I promise I will not miss the next one. Please my I invite you to the Grand Opening of the Bar August 2nd. There will be great food and an evening of music with Zooma Zooma, my Louis Prima band with myself and Connie Champagne! Also we will Have Dane's Dames Review. A fun nite for all. |
