Updated: Bamboo Ben is working his tiki magic on Tikitastic's living room

Since my collecting skills do not match my building skills, I asked Bamboo Ben if he would be willing to work some of his tiki magic on my living room. He accepted and is currently 4 days into the build out of my tiki room. The room is approx. 20 feet x 20 feet and already includes a 70's style wet bar and a small wood stove, which will be staying in one form or another since I live in the mountains and it gets cold.

It's really cool to see progress pictures on this build out. I can tell that this whole project is going to be ultra cool when completed. Not sure how you going to play in the chair, but I love it...it goes well with your paintings...jukebox = to die for!

Not to worry! Ben and Mark had real cupcakes at FI tonight!

Actually, Ben said they tasted like regular cupcakes. While I'm not vegan, lots o' folks are. The cupcakes were a gift from another TCer who is a strict vegan - and bakes only with vegan ingredients, cause she wants to enjoy her own stuff. Her baking is quite tasty. :)

I took a few but am having problems with my camera.

D'oh!

It was to cold or too hot (fireplace) to antique it so it's all just raw right now. Springtime.....it will look 100% better!

It snowed, rained, iced, blew hurricane winds, fogged, lost power, etc. up there. It was pretty nuts but we pulled it off.
If any of you get a chance to hang out up there, don't pass it up! (cept for Notch, Tai-One and Dr. Von)

I nicknamed it The Lodge but the sign says Mark's Tiki Bar.

p.s. I get gnarly foot cramps in cold climates. Hence the Ugg Boots. I'm not afraid to wear them!!!

Yes, I am having trouble uploading pictures to TC....seems others are not having any issues. I will try another machine if this does not get resolved. Thanks Little Lost Tiki for taking the time to snag the pcis from my MySpace page. I will post more pics soon....really :)
